How to Stop Self Sabotaging
Let’s tackle a big issue that anyone on the entrepreneurial journey has faced in one way, shape, or form. Self-sabotage. Sometimes we are so caught up in our cycles or loops, we don’t even realize we are addicted to the familiarity of poor circumstances. We become addicted to safety, even if it is no good for us. Why do we do this? How do we break out of it? How do we start getting the results we really want?

The Cliff Notes:
- Self-sabotage is avoidable, unnecessary, self-inflicted failure.
- People tend to go into loops and patterns in their intimate relationship scenarios, where in the end it backfires on them.
- To the unconscious mind, there is one thing that’s more important than anything else: familiarity.
- What’s familiar to us, is what’s safe for us. We’re gonna prefer what’s familiar to us all the time.
- Even emotions that are frustrating, but familiar, we’re going to set ourselves up to re-experience those emotions.
- If you find yourself in a negative loop, ask yourself, “why do I tolerate this?”
- Merely being exposed to something can cause you to gravitate towards it, due to the bit of familiarity associated with it.
- If you set a goal, but there is a deeper attachment happening, the goal you set might be able to override the attachment.
- Setting goals can help us break free of the negative commitments we have.
- When you stop working against yourself, you begin to gain traction.
- When happiness makes you anxious, it’s because you’re not used to being happy.
- You’ll always bump into negativity. It’s a part of life.
- Build up a tolerance to the negativity.
We will choose a familiar misery over foreign happiness.
