Do you suffer from Emotional Pain?
As adults, we get upset with ourselves when negative emotions overcome us. We are trained to find these off and put on a show that everything is right in the world. We cover up the mess within, and in the end, it does more harm than good.
Honestly, it’s ok to be a mess. Appreciate the mess. Love the mess.
When we have the dark emotions overcome us, it’s just our programming that’s been in use since children coming out. There’s no need to reprimand it. Instead, analyze it and embrace it.
I’ll even take this a step further and offer you a challenge. Learn to accept other people’s mess. Have empathy for them, because we are all children who have yet to complete certain development.
Do you think you can do that? Can you have empathy for other people’s mess? Even murderers?
In this episode of Old Souls & Seekers, Guy discusses his lessons from recent Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). During this NLP he has learned to accept the emotions that flow through his body and let them pass without holding onto them – a skill we could all use.
