Why Is Integrity Important? Using Honesty and Integrity to Reach your Extraordinary Life.
Integrity is a word we often hear, but forget just how it comes to play in our day-to-day lives. Do you find yourself saying “I’ll take care of that later,” or “I’m tired, I will think about it another day?” Using these behaviors from time to time to make excuses can grow into much larger issues. You find a few days turning into weeks…months..sometimes years before you get around to what you needed to do. And for most, they never get to what it was they needed to do.
In this episode, we discuss WHY integrity is so important, and how honoring your word gives you great control, empowerment, and respect in not only your professional life but also your personal life. It’s time to start living an extraordinary life.

The Cliff Notes:
- A lack of integrity is the main culprit behind creating goals but making very little movement to get there
- Having integrity does not mean being perfect or a superhero, but being whole, undivided, and complete.
- Sweeping things under the rug always comes back to bite you. It usually turns into weeks, months, or even years.
- People think: Late + excuse = being on time. It’s time to end that cycle.
- Buying into the norm will get you the norm results.
- Being extraordinary doesn’t mean being a superhuman or living lavish. It is a commitment, responsibility, and integrity that you create.
- There are a lot of things we agree to that are not necessarily verbal.
- As soon as you know you are not going to be able to hold a promise, you should get in touch with the person that it affects and let them KNOW
- An agreement is to create a system of self-accountability. Agreements establish trust in a relationship.
- If you don’t have the integrity to honor your word, you lose trust.
- ALWAYS hold yourself accountable to ALL 400;”>areas of your life to gain trust as well as power
- How often does this happen: I want to quit smoking. 3 days later, you’re smoking. We let ourselves slide much more often than we let other people slide.
- Losing integrity builds negative expectations of you. You hand power over to your worst enemy who has no interest in your success.
- Admit to your faults, with open, two-way, conversations to rebuild rapport if you find yourself not meeting expectations.
“Have you noticed the instances where you’ve swept things under the rug, have grown into much worse instances?”
